A Night of ONENESS
An All-Star Benefit Concert at the Hollywood House of Blues
featuring Allison Iraheta & Halo Circus, Bambaata Marley & special guests
In association with the Full Circle Learning preschool for migrant children in Piru, CA.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 8, 2015) - Oneness, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the elimination of racism and the promotion of unity through music, the arts and education, is proud to present an array of musical talent at the historic House of Blues on Sunday, July 12th, 2015, to help raise funds for its ongoing national music empowerment workshops for youth, as well as to assist the work being done at the Full Circle Learning preschool for migrant children in Piru, CA. As part of a worldwide network of Full Circle Learning schools, the Piru school gives migrant children access to a strong educational and moral foundation.
Starting at 5 PM, we will hold a silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind music memorabilia from iconic artists such as Michael Jackson, Carlos Santana and Janis Joplin, a special series of original artwork from young Baltimore muralists, and more!
Hosted by Oscar Nuñez (from TV's the Office) and Nikea Gamby-Turner, the concert will be eclectic and unforgettable. JB Eckl leads an all-star house band comprising former members of iconic bands War, Tower of Power and others, providing the grooves as our artists take the stage: American Idol favorite Allison Iraheta featuring her band, Halo Circus; reggae royalty Daniel Bambaata Marley bringing the immortal Marley legacy to a new generation; soulful singer-songwriter and TED speaker Chris Pierce; multicultural LA band The Bricks, originally formed during a Oneness youth project; Grammy®-winning producer KC Porter (Santana, Ricky Martin) debuts his pan-Latin band project ‘Cruzanderos’; atmospheric groove-rock power trio Heliotrope; and introducing young and gifted pop vocalist Samantha Elizondo, performing her own songs as well as closing out the show with her full Mariachi band!
Farewell to the House of Blues - A Night of Oneness will be one of the final shows booked at the House of Blues Hollywood, which will be closing its doors at the end of this Summer after 20 years as a vital part of the Los Angeles music scene, so this fantastic show will be a fitting farewell to a classic LA venue whose motto, 'Unity In Diversity,' couldn't be closer to the heart of Oneness' mission.

In the final weeks of 2014, a group of musicians gathered to record 'I Can't Breathe', a composition written in response to racial injustices in the USA. It features the voices of Moanin' Sons as well as Lonnie Jordan from the legendary funk band War. The studios, producers, musicians and engineers involved were incredibly generous with their time and energy, and the track came together beautifully. Listen below and visit this link to download.
