Dearest
Friends:
At
a time when the world is looking for answers and searching for
peace, we feel very proud to think about Oneness as a simple concept
that is shaping the way we view racism in America.
Oneness,
although still in its infancy, has been able to bring together
a diverse collection of industry professionals and artists to
speak out against racism and promote race unity through workshops,
concerts, and community events. Oneness is putting the dream into
action by honoring individuals dedicated to supporting and promoting
our goals, (through the annual Power of Oneness Awards); teaming
up with local schools to provide programs that promote racial
diversity (The “One Big Family” Multicultural
Book Drive and Reading Program and “Celebrating Cesar Chavez”);
and by joining forces with organizations like the Recording Academy,
and the Jim Henson Company to provide the musical community with
outlets for their positive and unifying creative energy (The 2002
Songwriters' Summit for Oneness).
The
events that we have sponsored in the past year have not only shown
what Oneness is capable of, but also demonstrated the basic human
connection that we all share and how powerful it is to bring people
together. It seems that after every Oneness event, new and strong
bonds of friendship are created on all levels, extending into
everything we do. We would like to thank all of our supporters
for their friendship, and for helping us continue our efforts
at a time when the need for Oneness is stronger than ever. For
those who have helped us in the past, we’re excited to share
some of the results of your support via this electronic “newsletter”.
For new friends, we say the time is now to get involved via your
financial support, volunteerism or suggestions – log onto

In
closing, we ask for your continued support, and to keep spreading
the word about Oneness. Keep in touch and be well.
Warmest
regards,
KC, Dennis and Faith
